But why call it ‘baked good’?

… if you were expecting croissants, you’re in the wrong place.

***The name Baked Good Impact is a reflection of my family history and personal journey. We believe that authenticity and storytelling is at the heart of every great brand, so here are some of the impactful moments that led to ours.

  • The first was at my mothers bakery in Ayr, Ontario. I would spend every day from ages 3-5 in the back of the bakery, watching my mother prep, bake and sell her products. This was my first look into the life of a business owner and it influenced me massively in choosing to attend George Brown culinary school.

  • In culinary school I quickly found myself less interested in French cooking techniques are more engaged with what I was learning about food security and global food systems. This was where my connection to social justice and was sparked and what led me to a double life of overnight shifts as a pastry chef at a vegan bakery (staffed exclusively with activists) followed by 8am volunteer shifts at FoodShare Toronto. Despite my passion and excitement for my work the intense schedule only last so long before I began looking for a more traditional job.

  • That "traditional job" would land me at Public Inc., a social purpose marketing agency. This is where it all came together to teach me about purposeful business, and where CEO and co-founder Phillip Haid would often remark on value of businesses having 'baked in impact' to do good in the world.

    Now I help businesses 'bake in' that good. It's nice when it all comes together like that isn't it?tion text goes here


A note from our founder..

I have worked with purpose-driven businesses for over a decade, integrating ESG targets into operations (policy building, recruiting strategies, team training, feedback methods…), marketing (community engagement, awareness campaigns, D&I auditing, corporate partnerships…) , and finance (employee retention, carbon credits, risk assessments…).

I believe that impact creates more opportunities to profit and profit creates more opportunities to create lasting impact.

There’s just one problem… how are business leaders expected to run profitable complex businesses while also investing resources in impact?

The support gap (particularly for small and medium-sized businesses) is massive. This is why we focus on low-resource, simple and easy-to-maintain impact strategies that can be measured over time and contribute to the overall health (and profitability) of businesses.

From building a framework to meet ESG certification requirements (like B Corp) to fully customized impact strategies that engage your team and increase profits, we build the plan, tools and provide the coaching businesses need to accomplish impact (simply).
